What happens to your tag's QR code
You're buying an object that should still work in five and ten years. Here is exactly how it's built — and what we are not promising yet.
The QR code never points straight at a profile
The code engraved on the tag resolves to a permanent intermediate address, which then forwards to your dog's current profile. The code itself never changes.
That means you can edit the profile, move the tag to a different profile, or order a replacement pointing at the same dog — and the physical code stays valid.
Profile addresses can change, the code cannot
Profile and QR addresses deliberately live outside the site's language structure. Redesigns, translations and renamed sections cannot invalidate anything engraved on metal.
Your data is yours
You can export or delete your dog's and your own data at any time — a GDPR right that does not depend on our plans or our health as a company.
There is no lock-in: the profile holds information you entered, and you can take it with you.
Privacy is structural
A public profile shows only the fields you switch on. Whoever finds your dog never creates an account and never sees more than you chose to share.
What we are not promising yet
Prizo is an early product, before launch. We do not claim a guaranteed service lifetime, and we do not claim the service will survive regardless of circumstances — we could not make that promise honestly today.
This page describes only what we have actually built. When we commit to a specific continuity guarantee, it will appear here and it will be binding.
A tag never replaces a microchip. The chip is a vet with a scanner on Monday morning; the tag is a stranger with a phone at 10pm on Sunday.
